AFTA Travel & Tourism Colleges
|
AFTA Education and Training oversees the academic standards, regulatory compliance, brand management, marketing activities and financial performance of AFTA colleges as well as produces the training modules that are used throughout the colleges.
Tremendous support for the colleges is given by the travel and tourism industry through on the job training and employment of graduates. Feedback from travel managers and consultants ensures the courses are continually modified and adapted to the changing needs of the industry. This has enabled the AFTA Colleges to produce graduates of exceptionally high calibre.

Australian Network
|
Colleges are located in Sydney and Adelaide. An External Studies program for industry and people wishing to gain entry into the industry is operated from Adelaide. Further colleges are planned to open within the near future. Students may transfer mid course to any of the colleges or to the External Studies program, if circumstances dictate.

Lecturers
|
College lecturers have many years of experience in the travel and tourism industry including – retail, corporate, leisure, cruise, inbound operations and airlines – the list is almost endless.

Industry Work Experience
|
This component of the course provides invaluable practical experience on the day to day operations of a travel and tourism office and the industry. It gives students the opportunity to put into practice their newly acquired skills and knowledge. The experience also offers students valuable industry exposure and forms a basis for developing industry networks and gaining employment.

Qualifications
|
Graduates receive the nationally accredited SIT30207 Certificate III in Tourism (Retail Travel Sales) and a CRS Certificate.

Accreditation
|
All courses and course study material is accredited by the Australian Tourism Training Review Panel (ATTRP). Courses are AUSTUDY approved. The AFTA Travel & Tourism Colleges are Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) with the national vocational educational authorities.
