Once again it is time for the biggest travel industry expo in the Middle East where airlines, tourism boards, hotels and attractions meet with some of the world’s biggest buyers, and 2016 is a big year for announcements at ATM.
With new developments earmarked to open later this year, the dates have officially been announced, with tickets already going on sale.
The much awaited Dubai Opera, the city’s first purpose-built multi-format performing art theatre overlooking Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains, will open its doors on August 31 this year. Tickets for the shows are on sale at www.dubaiopera.com and will see performances from tenor Placido Domingo as well as Giselle by The Russian State Ballet, with the capacity to seat 2,000 for performances.
For families, IMG Worlds of Adventure will open its doors to visitors on Monday, 15 August, 2016. Located in the heart of new Dubai and stretching across 1.5 million square feet, the indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure, will be the first multi-themed destination to open in the region, and will set Dubai on the map as a year-round international family entertainment hot spot. Tickets will be available from April 25 via www.IMGworlds.com, with adult ticket prices set at AED 300 and children at AED 250 for an all-day adventure offering access to over 20 signature rides and attractions, including live shows and a 5D cinema experience. IMG Worlds of Adventure will be joined in October by Dubai Parks and Resorts additional three parks, which includes Motiongate, Legoland and Bollywood Park.
Watch this space for the official launch date of Dubai Safari Park, due to open in Q3 of this year, the park will be home to over 1,000 animals.
This year really is the year to visit Dubai, with so many exciting attractions opening, travellers should really consider stopping in the destination for longer!
