AFTA Travel TRENDS

AFTA is the leading industry association on international travel by Australians with more than 70% of all Australian departures booking at least one part of their trip through an Australian travel agent.

As a result AFTA has collected the key Australian travel facts and figures you need to understand the latest trends in the Australian travel industry.

AFTA produces a monthly publication called AFTA Travel Trends which provides stakeholders interested in travel and tourism a snap shot of the latest International Arrivals and Departures to Australia. The publication also details information on market shares of airlines and the underlying purpose of international travel.

AFTA also produces yearly fact sheets based on information collected through AFTA’s Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS) on the employment and industry profiles of the industry.
