All members of the travel and tourism industry are eligible to hold a .travel domain name, but they must be “authenticated” to ensure their eligibility according to the policies of the .travel Registry. AFTA has been accredited as an Authentication Provider for Australian travel industry businesses, including but not limited to AFTA members.
A .travel name identifies you as a verified participant in the travel industry. AFTA is working with the .travel Registry to review and verify eligibility of bona fide Australian travel industry businesses.
In order to be authenticated, your business must fall into at least one of the 21 defined Travel Industry Segments. To view a list of these segments, click here
You must also agree to the .travel Terms and Conditions, which may be downloaded here A .travel name registration also provides for a listing in the industry-exclusive directory of travel products and services—a listing you define and edit, as you will. The .travel Directory provides your fellow industry members, as well as consumers, with a precision search tool that is designed to drive traffic to your business.

If you would like to Authenticate your eligibility for a .travel domain name(s) AFTA will help you. All that’s required is that you complete a short information form and forward us some supporting documents. Just click the secure “authentication data” link below, and follow the instructions you find there to fill in the form. AFTA will review your data and confirm your eligibility based on the information you supply and the membership data we hold.

Once you have been authenticated you will be sent an email which will confirm your eligibility. You will then be able to use the User ID and Password you have chosen when you enter your authentication information to return to review your record and Names List, which is a list of names that you are eligible to apply to register. The Names List is generated from the information you provide on the authentication form.
Authentication is a service without any charge to you at this time. Your .travel name registration fee includes not only the cost of your Authentication, but also your .travel Directory listing. Once you are authenticated you will be entitled to Register any or all of .travel domain name(s) on your Names List. Authentication does not guarantee or reserve any names you are authenticated for. All registrations for any .travel domain name are first-come-first-served, therefore we urge you to get authenticated and register your chosen domain name(s) as quickly as possible.
