The Australian Government will increase the maximum amount offered for all wage subsidies delivered through employment services providers to $10,000 from 1 July 2021 to 31 June 2022.
Wage subsidies are a financial incentive to encourage employers to hire eligible participants in ongoing jobs by contributing to the initial costs of hiring a new employee. Wage subsidies can help to build a business and give employers greater flexibility in their hiring options.

The Jobs Victoria Fund is providing $250 million in wage subsidies to assist Victorian businesses to employ at least 10,000 people who are looking for work.
If you are a Victorian employer ready to hire new staff or increase hours of existing staff, the Jobs Victoria Fund can financially support you to employ people who have been most affected by the economic impacts of the pandemic.
Click here for more informationThe Travel Agents Support Fund is designed to assist travel agent businesses affected by the delayed border opening. The Program provides eligible home-based agents with funding relief of between $5,000 and $10,000 (depending on commission levels) and $20,000 for brick-and-mortar businesses. This Program is not subject to GST. The Program will remain open for applications until 3:00pm, Friday 8 April 2022.
