Bob Lunnon - Chief Judge

Bob Lunnon has been Chief Judge of the National Travel Industry Awards since 2014.

He has a longstanding and extensive career in the travel industry spanning 50 years, including 20 years with Qantas and Qantas Holidays, and over 30 years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts where his last role was Director, Leisure and Luxury Sales, Asia Pacific. Awarded the Outstanding Individual Contribution to Australia’s tourism export industry by ATEC in 2005, Bob now undertakes various consultancy projects both domestically and globally.

Anne Rogers

Anne enjoyed a long and trail-blazing career with Ansett Australia, a highlight of which was the launch of the prestigious Golden Wing Club, and her responsibility for the establishment of the various club lounges throughout the network.

In 1985 she resigned to establish Wings Away Travel in Melbourne. Her passions for innovation and marketing (in all its forms), saw the agency become a much respected and awarded industry leader, and a founding member of both Cruiseco and Magellan. Anne has held numerous board and committee positions; including a three-year tenure on the AFTA Board, as Chairman of AFTA Victoria (1994-1997).

Having sold Wings Away in 2017, Anne remains actively engaged in the industry, with specific interests in mentoring and advisory roles.

Brett Jardine

Brett Jardine is the Managing Director of the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO). Brett joined CATO in March 2018 with close to three decades of experience across many segments in the travel industry including wholesale, touring and cruise. Between 2007 & 2017 Brett was at the helm of the Australasian office of the global cruise industry association – Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), in a high profile role that was an integral part of the sector.

During this time, he was instrumental in establishing what are now regular events on the cruise industry calendar including the regions Cruise360 conference and annual Cruise Month promotion whilst also overseeing the ongoing development and delivery of the retail agent training and accreditation program.

Brett has held senior roles with iconic industry brands including Scenic and APT and prior to his role at CATO delivered successful consulting projects with the Intrepid Travel Group and Viking Cruises.

Bronwyn White

Bronwyn White is the world's #1 authority in the seniors travel sector. She is the CEO of New Young Consulting a market research and marketing agency that specialises in the seniors travel sector.

Christian Schweitzer

Christian is the General Manager of the Business Publishing Group comprising of the leading titles; Travel Daily, travelBulletin, Cruise Weekly, Travel & Cruise Weekly, Business Events News and Pharmacy Daily.

A multi-faceted professional with 25 years of commercial experience in sales, marketing, management and customer service, Christian has particular industry experience across travel, tourism, non-profit, retail, wholesale and direct marketing industries.

In 2009 Christian led the marketing team of a major international touring company which won Best Tour Operator International at the National Travel Industry Awards. More recently, Christian is a driving force behind the Travel Daily Sustainability Summit and has been a regular guest on Sky News Business channel commenting on travel topics for the business traveller.

Christian is also a regular judge for the Cruise Industry Awards and Mumbrella Travel Marketing Awards.

Donna Campbell

Donna Campbell is based in Sydney where she is the Managing Director of D.C. & Associates Worldwide Pty and the GSA for Destination Canada in Australia. Donna has over 40 years of tourism experience strategically selling & promoting Canada in the international markets – predominately the Asia Pacific region.

The last 19 years she has been working for Destination Canada to raise awareness for Canada’s ten provinces and three territories in the Australian marketplace – through the ever-changing trade, media and consumer channels.

Donna is a well-recognised face for Canada and has a longstanding reputation for delivering programs that are strategic, innovative, on target and deliver a strong ROI.

Hugh Houston

Hugh is a highly respected and experienced member of the travel industry. Hugh’s career spanned over 40 years, before he retired at the end of 2016. Hugh has held senior positions within the industry for the majority of that time.

His last three years was as Brand Manager Australia and New Zealand for Back-Roads Touring, a role focussed on elevating the awareness and resulting sales of the brand across Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that Hugh spent 16 years as General Manager Sales and Marketing for Sunlover Holidays and AOT Holidays and oversaw a period of phenomenal growth, particularly in Australia.

Before joining Sunlover Holidays, Hugh was Sales and Marketing Manager at Warner Bros. Theme Parks on the Gold Coast, a position he held for 7 years and was part of the pre-opening team for Warner Bros. Movie World.

Jacqui Timmins

John Hart BCom, FAICD

John Hart is Executive Director of Restaurant & Catering Australia, Executive Director of Business Group Australia, Executive Chair of Australian Chamber – Tourism, Chair of Tourism Training Australia and on the Board of Tourism Australia, the Australian Business Register and Food Standards Australia and New Zealand. John was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Restaurant & Catering Australia between 1999 and 2017.

John has spent over 30 years working in the hospitality industry in operational, HR and IR roles, trained in food and beverage management at the Ecole Hotelliere Lausanne, in Switzerland, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Business Law.

Julie King

Based in Sydney, Julie has over 32 years' experience in the tourism and hospitality industry including consulting for the tourism industry, leading over 152 consulting projects across 22 countries, working with national and regional government authorities, destination management organisations, convention bureaus and private entities.

Having spent 14 of those years based in Dubai as General Manager of a leading hospitality and tourism consultancy and prior to that successfully opening five hotels in the UK and Dubai, Julie moved to Australia in 2010 to establish her own award winning, trusted and respected tourism consultancy & destination & hotel representation agency, Julie King & Associates.

Julie is a trusted adviser and brings to the role a successful track record and strong reputation both in the Australian market and globally.

Quentin Long

Quentin Long co-founded Australia’s largest travel media company, Australian Traveller Media in 2005. The company’s founding product, Australian Traveller magazine quickly became the bestselling travel magazine in the country.

Known for its editorial independence, savvy reporting and supreme photography, Long quickly became a sought after media commentator on travel. From 2006 he has held weekly radio segments across the country and regular TV appearances commentating on issues and destinations for news and lifestyle programs. He currently has a regular segment on TV with CH9’s Today program and is seen on Ch9’s A Current Affair and News programs. He also is a regular guest on several ABC radio programs and Macquarie Radio Network through 2GB and affiliated networks.

Tammy Marshall

Tammy Marshall is the Founder and Managing Director of The B Hive – a business transformation consultancy specialising in the Hospitality, Leisure, Lifestyle and Tourism sectors.

Alongside her work at The B Hive, Tammy is a regular keynote speaker, the Senior Advisor for Slingshot, Australia’s leading corporate accelerator, and currently sits on the advisory board for Laurette University. Trish Shepherd 

Trish Shepherd has 40 years of experience in the travel industry with a focus on partnerships and strategic alliances. Trish worked with a range of travel companies and agencies to develop business opportunities and franchise programs.

Most significantly, as the Regional Director of American Express’ Travel Service Network, Trish oversaw network and franchise model development and significant expansion throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region. More recently she led the expansion of Ensemble Travel into the Australian and New Zealand marketplace as Senior Vice President
