Frequently asked questions about NTIA 2022

What is the awards process?
Each category has its own process which involves nominations, submissions & judging, and/or voting.

Nominations

1. When do Nominations close?
Nominations are being accepted until 11:59pm, Friday 22 July 2022 AEST.

2. Will the number of nominations received have any impact?
No, only one nomination is required to participate in NTIA.
Supplementary nominations will be deemed invalid, and will not count towards your score in any way.

3. When will I be advised that I have been nominated?
By Wednesday 27 July, all peer nominees will be contacted by email to accept their nomination.

4. When will I be advised if my self-nomination has been accepted?
All self-nominations will automatically be accepted, subject to the eligibility criteria for the respective category. You will be sent an email to confirm. 

5. If I have been nominated, do I need to provide a submission?
Yes, following nominations you will be asked to provide a video or written submission to proceed with the awards process.



Submissions & Judging 

1. Is the video / written submission due by 22 July?

No.

2. How / where do I provide my submission?
In the email confirming your nomination and eligibility in the respective category, you will be provided with a link to the submission portal.

3. When will I be required to provide a submission for assessment?
For Individual categories, submissions are due 11.59pm AEST, 05 August 2022.

For Business and Supplier categories, submissions are due 11.59pm AEST, 12 August 2022. 


4. Will I be scored differently if I submit a written or video submission?
No.

The same scoring matrix will be used across video and written submissions.

For video submissions, please speak clearly and loudly.

For written submissions, please write in a clear and easy-to-understand matter.

5. After my initial submission, will I need to prepare another presentation?
No.

As part of our attempts to streamline the awards process, only one submission is required.

6. Will I need to attend a judging interview?
Depending on the category, you may need to attend a judging interview. Please refer to respective Entrant Guidelines for full detail, but in summary:

For Finalists in Individual Categories, you'll be asked to attend a virtual judging interview and asked to expand on key points of your submission.

For Finalists in business and supplier categories, your original submission will then be assessed by an industry panel of judges.


Finalists

1 Will there be a voting element to determine finalists?

No.


2. How will Finalists be determined?

Please refer to the respective entrant guidelines. In summary -

For Most Outstanding (judged) categories, all submissions will be assessed by an Independent Reviewer and the top 5 scoring nominees will proceed as Finalists.

For Most Popular (voted) categories, all nominees will be put forward to industry voting. The 5 nominees with the highest number of votes will proceed as Finalists.

  • Category 26 - Most Outstanding Industry Support - Air

2. When will voting take place?

There will be a 2 week voting period from late August - early September.


Tickets

1. When can I purchase my tickets?
Ticket prices and sales will go on sale in mid-August.

ATAS Accredited Businesses and AFTA Allied Members will have access to a discounted rate.

2. Will I need to request or reserve my tickets?
There is no need to request tickets to the NTIA 2022 Gala Dinner.

General ticket sales will be on a first come, first serve basis until we have reached capacity.

If you would like to reserve your tables in advance of general ticket sales, we are offering the following Table Sponsor / NTIA Event Supporter Package.

3. Can I purchase an individual ticket to the NTIA?
Yes.

You may purchase individual tickets (up to 9) and provide names upfront.

4. Can I purchase a table of 10 to the NTIA?
Yes.

You may pre-purchase a table of 10 and provide names of each attendee later.
