Dubai Tourism partners with AFTA Julie King, Dubai Tourism

Only a few months out from the industry’s prestigious NTIA awards, Dubai Tourism is the first ever to form a destination partnership with AFTA as well as Gold Sponsor for the NTIA awards. 2015 is a busy year for Dubai Tourism and our summer season is just about to start, so the 12-month partnership signifies an important step forward in working more closely with the well-respected body for Australia’s Travel Agents to allow us to further strengthen our education of Dubai to the travel industry at large to raise awareness of all the great products that Dubai has to offer to Australians.

Dubai is a destination that continually changes with the addition of many new products and attractions. 2016 will see the launch of our first theme parks in addition to many new experiences. Our partnership with AFTA will allow us to bring to you the latest news through this newsletter each month and an educational microsite, specially set up to continual update agents and accessible only through the AFTA website. This will feature new developments, factsheets and sample itineraries per market segment, our calendar of events, access to our latest collateral and videos, the latest news and images and lots more and we will be updating this on an ongoing basis so that you have all the latest product news.

With the winter upon us in Australia, the industry gears up to sell warmer overseas destinations and Dubai provides a fantastic option for Aussies looking for a stopover on their usual Kangaroo route to the European Summer. Dubai has a range of accommodation for all budgets and all travellers, an abundance of family attractions, world-class spas and restaurants, art galleries and traditional souks and festivals and events making it the perfect stopover destination.

To showcase all that is on offer in Dubai during summer, in May we will be hosting our annual and this year the largest ever “Utimate Emirates Dubai Famil”. This unique experience-led famil will see agents hosted in luxury accommodation across the city, enjoying a range of attractions and activities with a number of great prizes on offer. We continue to believe that the best way to sell a product is to experience it first-hand, and each year we bring around 300 agents to the city to see the products for themselves.

With the city constantly changing and new hotels and attractions opening each year, Dubai is a city that will give travellers a new experience every time they visit and through our new microsite agents can be across all the changes the city has to offer.
