As we get over the hump of winter, we are starting to look towards our next earlybird season, with a number of key activities planned for this year to drive our messaging home about the launch of key new products in destination – some of our biggest launches yet!
Next month finally sees the culmination of years of planning and construction, when IMG Worlds of Adventure and Dubai Opera opens to the public, with Dubai Parks and Resorts joining them later in the year.
To continue to raise awareness of the growing attractions, hotels and restaurants in the city we will continue to invest a lot of time training and educating travel agents and trade partners on Dubai so that they are confident enough to sell the destination. Over 70% of our resources focus on trade, and through our partnership with AFTA we also have a number of resources available for download on our destination page on the AFTA website.
Dubai Tourism is planning a national roadshow for agents and media to learn about the product first-hand with our team and destination partners. We will bring our trade roadshow to Perth on 8-9 September, Melbourne on 12 September, Sydney on 13-14 September and finishing in Brisbane on 15 September. Details of the venues will be shared soon!
Our trade strategy will be complemented with aggressive marketing and PR and we will be increasing our content through a partnership with a national TV programme later in the year - as well as cross-brand partnerships, so watch this space as we gear up for another busy earlybird season!
If you would like any information on the destination, then we also have regional sales managers who, upon request, will come to visit your store/office to carry out agent training – their details can also be found on the AFTA destination page or by calling our office on 02 9956 6620.
