AFTA wraps Election Webinars and gets ready to engage incoming Federal Parliament

16 May 2022: The Australian Federation of Travel Agents is now preparing to engage with the next Federal Government, following the successful wrap of its Election Insight webinars.

Federal Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, the Hon Dan Tehan MP completed the series with a webinar on Friday where he shared his vision for the sector along with an update on key areas including payment of outstanding support funds.

Quotes attributed to AFTA CEO Dean Long:
“AFTA has successfully secured the engagement of both Minister the Hon Dan Tehan and Shadow Minister Senator the Hon Don Farrell as part of our Election Insights webinar series.”

“We thank both for making time during the election campaign to speak with members and we look forward to continuing to engage with all major parties and key Cross Bench members when the 47th Parliament is formed.”

“On behalf of our members, AFTA is determined to make sure that the key political decision makers understand the value of Australia’s Travel Sector and our members. We have made great progress in recent times including as a result of our campaign for Sector support and we will be working hard to build on this with the incoming Government and Parliament.”
